Harvia Dry Sauna
By far the best investment I ever did was get a sauna in my house - Well and the home gym - The pool we never use but the sauna is sooo nice
@levelsioAug 2026
Internet obsessives, builders, and overthinkers, in their own words. Every take pulled from a public post and linked to the source.
The FUD around the iPhone Duo is insane. I’ve owned many foldable phones. This is the best built one I’ve ever had by far. If you’re looking for excuses to not buy it, I’m sure you can find plenty. Hardware quality is not a valid one.
Omarchy on that wild Huawei Mate Fold! I just got it hooked up yesterday as just an external display for a laptop. The 18" screen is glorious. Love to see this! Hopefully we can get a full install possible soon too.
for the girls - if you are on camera/video a lot, would highly recommend liberally applying a highlighter and pigmented blush - even for photoshoots I carry this around and liberally apply to my muses because the camera will flatten/wash out your face
have used @opalelectronics for years but increasingly its app just completely destroys system usage and usually crashes every time i use it.
I've been using android fold phones for 2 yrs. Once you go fold you will never go back. Currently rocking a oppo N6 and trying the pixel 11 fold.
CAP bumper plates are less than a dollar a pound on Amazon right now - I've got a bunch of them in my gym (no im not sponsored by CAP) - If you're building a training space and need plates, this is an amazing deal
This is why I have a Tesla Y - One of the safest car brands and car models - I don't trust myself nor anyone else driving so when shit goes down I wanna be in not the prettiest or coolest car, I wanna be in the safest car with the highest survival rate - Which all the recent Tesla
When I got my Matic, I knew that it was a different beast than any other vacuum I had ever owned, and NOW I know why. So cool to see the founders behind such incredible tech also be so liberal with sharing their learnings. (Also, it's the best vacuum I ever owned.)
Here’s my iPhone 18 Pro Max review: Do not buy an iPhone Air unless you want to immediately return every other phone forever.
Blown away by the quality of @ChHouseBooks — we’ve been reading D’Aulaires Greek Myths for a month so far this year and now I’m going to add daily readings from this “Heroes and Wonders” set ✨
I got a set of Sonos speakers a few months ago. I hate them. They're obnoxious, laggy, buggy, etc. Most importantly: they sound HORRIBLE. I plugged in a mic and said "fix the sound". Claude did it. Holy shit.
I'm a @delta Diamond Medallion flier, and I'm generally happy with the airline, but the one thing that could make me switch to @united is Starlink. It's just so much better. Crazy to deny your customers the best just because you don't like Elon.
I have the leica minilux zoom, and while it is a beautiful camera, I still don't _love_ shooting with it. I actually like my Fuji DL-500 Wide more
I know everyone wants me to spill the tea, but I have the best sauce. #lavictoria Orange Sauce is a religious experience for me, makes me cry a little but feels so good after.
I put on my toxic as hell Alo yoga leggings. Suddenly my butt looks great, my legs look amazing, and I’m feeling sexy AF. I’m not against a little petrochemical witchcraft if it makes me feel more beautiful. I’m so over the non-tox leggings.
Your monthly reminder this exercise is excellent for -Strengthen hamstrings glutes spinal erectors -getting rid of low back pain -training hip extension -easy to learn - Do them regularly. 2x a week, 50-100 total reps (add weight if you want to)
Today actually we finally installed a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system in our home (or well the plumber did) by Waterdrop (unaffiliated, unpaid, recommended by Claude) - RO seems to the best and most pure water filtration system out there - I will let you know how the coffee tastes tomorrow with it! 😋
Yeah did this in London. Amazing
I've had a Beelink PC + Ubuntu + Tailscale + Codex Remote since July and it's been great. No access to email or sensitive files. Just a computer that's always on with a coding agent.
If you don't, you can buy a 3D monitor (Odyssey 3D) and get the same effect with a physical display.
Update: the Z Fold 8 form factor is incredible. One of the best feeling devices I’ve ever used. Going back to my iPhone feels like going back a generation.
The keyboard on the $699 XPS13 has no right being as good as it is. Same goes for the overall build quality. You're not going to zoom through a compilation of the Linux kernel, but what a combo for the price when paired with Omarchy!
I get eye twitches from Nespresso, it's the only coffee I get it from God knows what they add to it
My favorites are Needed and FullWell. This is not sponsored. I just got tired of prenatals that look complete on the label and fall apart when you read the forms and doses.
Equip is what we consume at home and is our go to brand (my wife likes them)
My gaming PC I built exactly one year ago to play Flight Simulator 2024 has now doubled in value - A year ago I paid €6,562 for it, now it's worth €13,178 (+100% or 2x) - 128 GB of RAM has 5x'd, the RTX 5090 GPU up 2.3x, and SSD is up 1.3x - Accidentally one of my best investments 🫨
This is same but tiny and works off USB so I always have it in my bag.
i’ve kinda become a running vest purist as of late. really enjoying my salomon adv skin 12.
coding from my phone via codex app connected to my macbook that i left at home. and while i wait for codex to finish, i flip the phone over and read a book on a tiny e-ink reader attached via magsafe
tbh the Uniqlo barrel pants are an absolute cheat code.
This is exactly my podcast and screencast setup too. Just also need a Camlink 4K dongle and you're totally set: Like so many things, I just bought what @tobi told me to after seeing his superb picture quality on a call 😄
I've got a Ressence 3 you can borrow if you want to try one out for a few months before buying.
Tested it this morning and it all works well! 10/10 experience, super fun
I put Equip protein powder in my kids' milk every morning. Love it. I've gone through a lot of protein powders over the years. It's hard to find one without unnecessary ingredients or artificial sweeteners. @EquipFoods has flavors without stevia (they use monk fruit) which I love. Not a sponsored post, I just really love their products. If you're a mom who cares about ingredients, check them out
My kids love these, i've said before I'm not beef, jerky guy, but these are really good and the macros are perfect as a protein snack
I have one Starlink Mini for home cause I bought that one first with the idea of using it for travel but then it became our main one and we put it on the roof - And one Starlink Mini for travel which we used last month on a boat in the Mediterranean, we had a balcony with only a little bit sky horizontally and still got 25mbps, which was way faster than the onboard WiFi (which was also Starlink btw but shared with 500 people)
Stock the rivian is terrible even at lane keeping. Far from the level 3 @RJScaringe promised when I first bought it. And unfortunately there's no path to upgrade from Rivian
i’ve put probably 300+ miles on these salomons lol. might be getting time for a new pair.
I have a Rolex (green sub) and I hardly ever wear it. To me its cultural meaning has shifted a lot in the last 10 years. It's a bit more in NPC territory now. The green one has a bit of edge but the black one is a watch that guys buy when they don't know what watch to buy.
i recently picked up a nano texture pro display xdr, & i absolutely love it. i've always wanted one big screen instead of juggling multiple displays, & this thing is basically perfect for how i work. the size, resolution, clarity, & obviously nano texture are awesome. goodbye studio displays.
Ubiquity is so ridiculously good. Just did a full apartment upgrade. Cloud router, three U7 Pros. Added a local admin account for an agent. Had Claude optimize all the radio channels, tune mesh settings, and ensure all devices roamed ideally. SCI-FI!
I noticed my Model X was uploading ~2.6gb of something to @Tesla when it parked and connected to WiFi.
all I want is easy access to the vinyl albums! I got the player, just lack the plastic discs :D
I fell in love with my baby’s bum balm. It’s one made from tallow and zinc oxide (a major apology to the crunchy girls, they have been right about tallow for the skin!).
I frickin LOVE Metrx bars - Don't care how processed they are, I like the taste and they work as a meal, - A MetRx bar and cup of coffee at the gas station got me through some of the most challenging seasons of life
the keb trousers are the best piece of clothing i’ve ever owned. i have two pairs and just got my first hole after almost 4 years of very intense use. luckily they can patch too 🤠
Acquired. It's as cool as it seems in @minafahmi's videos — best dictation tool I've tried by a mile.
DJI mic = high ROI. They are a hundred bucks, make you sound (much) better in videos, and enable you to dictate when your mac is in clamshell mode. Also tiny and super discreet. No brainer buy.
Samsung Fold 8 as an on-the-go agent terminal is pretty compelling. What a delightful form factor.
If it was cheaper I would have bought one. Instead I decided to keep my 5yr old Mazda.
We got this 3D printer last Christmas and it has been a tremendous addition to our household.
Depends on your budget, but the Bambu Lab A1 is arguably the perfect starter printer. Highly recommend getting an AMS with it as multi-color printing is a huge unlock for all sorts of cool stuff.
Still experimenting but my current setup is - joystick left sidebar toggle, joystick right browser toggle, up and down are skills - 6 agent keys pinned - fast mode, yolo, swapped back to fork experimenting with this, and run button to build
Thanks everyone for recommending me to buy an LG TV two years ago but especially everyone for recommending me to NEVER ever connect it to the internet - But instead to get an Apple TV and connect that with HDMI to the LG TV - I knew LG TVs were full of spyware but it's even worse
As incredible as @Tesla FSD is, and it's beyond amazing, I use it all the time, I always get a kick out of its 8 cameras missing the most human of all driving cues: Someone slowing down, making space, and waving you into the traffic flow.
me: i’m just not really that into bags or shoes - also me:
No I bought a limited to Japan Vinyl release of Discovery. Gold records and limited to 5555 pressings
This one is a bit out there but if you want very gold (colored), auto, and something with character that isn't a dress watch, consider the Tissot PRX. Fits your stated budget. I have one and it's a lot of fun.
Yes. The Spring Drive UFA. Great watch!
the top % medical grade red light panel is so real
I keep geeking out over how amazing Joy-Con 2 controllers are. They are only $40 each, and have a full 9dof IMU, connect over BLE, have great latency. I mean, jeeze. Please don't break them Nintendo 🙏🙏🙏
i've spent most of the day building a full parametric storage system for Wall Control. i now just describe what i need to mount on the wall and Fable goes and does web research, gets pictures of things, finds specs for measurements and then designs the mount while accounting for 3D printing quirks.
The beta fuel gels w/ nootropics are something else. I feel high from them.
✅ Went!!! With the new Rogue trap bar - Did 100kg trap squat (first time)
Cuoio is the best interior color on Ferrari's. My GTC4Lusso is the same spec.
Every evening with my red light panel. Convinced it helped a ton with postpartum recovery.
Get a decent turntable, I went through a few cheap ones before getting the Sony PS-LX310BT
I put my toddlers on the back of the Aventon, much better than the minivan within the city
I love the LC500 so much that I bought the same car twice (Malibu + Copenhagen)! It's got one of the best GT interiors of any car at any price, it sounds incredible, looks like a concept car, and drives great. One of my all time favorite cars.
my wife bought me a new wallet bc mine was getting real old and tattered and i think the energy of that alone propelled me for a good week, it was incredible i felt like a king
David Goggins in the airpods Red light glasses on Demolishing weights at the gym before another all nighter Yeah, it's wartime.
By far the best investment I ever did was get a sauna in my house - Well and the home gym - The pool we never use but the sauna is sooo nice
I built a multi million dollar business on a $1000 Macbook Air laptop. $100k MRR after 5 years. Insane ROI. I recommend you buy as many laptops as you can.
Have you considered lighting candles all over your home and playing soft jazz and getting cozy with a book and letting your whole body relax from head to toe as you sip chamomile tea and smile gently, recalling the delightful moments of kindness and sweetness that met you today?
I also have The Social Network soundtrack on vinyl… absolutely love it
i tried going from one studio display to two studio displays recently. it's pure trash. i have to continuously tilt my head one side or the other etc & it's making my neck hurt.
Two 911s. The ultimate daily sportscar!
I use 10L one, cost €7. laptop, headphones etc.
Yeah for AVP highly recommend boboVR mod, that's what I use and helps a lot.
Similar. F150 and Model Y. I like just pressing the button.
They love them. Makes getting around way easier too since they're racing and playing scooter tag instead of complaining about walking.
xiaomi air purifier in every room, big spaces get the big purifiers, smaller rooms small ones (most air purifiers are too small for the space they're in!)
Decided on a Lenovo 32" 4K monitor. Affordable, had good reviews, and no complaints so far.
Fresh flowers are an instant and direct avenue to my heart
And maybe my weirdest record: I have Toto’s Africa in a record shaped like the continent
but then you have to wear a dorky apply watch. i only wear it while working out or sleeping.
I've been a Tesla convert for years. Model X, Model S Plaid, Cyberbeast. But the Model Y we just got still blew me away! It feels so tight, so well built, so right. Unbelievably good car and good value. It sending an Aston Martin DBX 707 and Taycan Turbo S out of the fleet!
These > AirPods - $19 - Way harder to lose - Unlimited battery - No charging
i *hate* organizing screws/washers/etc. gridfinity is the best solution i've found but still, it's just extremely hard to organize and FIND random items. i need some sort of robotic storage-and-retrieval machine. how hard could it be?™
Late to the party, but after a couple of 4+ hour road trips and a few weeks around town, the Tesla Y with FSD 14+ is incredible. Someone said it recently: it's like going from black and white to color TV. And when you drive a regular car again, even if it's a "better" car, you still feel dumb having to drive yourself.
Just picked up a @Dell XPS laptop for running Omarchy and I couldn't be happier. Fantastic Apple-like build quality, bright and crisp OLED screen, great battery life, and a surprisingly nice keyboard. Really great level up from Dell on these.
One important part here is we avoid plastic in every step of the process, important because you're dealing with boiling water
I got the freewrite travel typewriter...and it has its issues but I've really enjoyed freewriting 1k, 5k, 10k words over a coffee with no spellcheck let alone AI
Generally love whoop and bought the lab bundle the day they launched it — but it feels like the whole business model is based on people not using the labs they paid for.
And I have the original soundtrack on vinyl where the records look like the identity discs from the movie!
i just wish apple sold touch id as a separate little device so i could use my favorite mechanical keyboard. right now i basically keep a magic keyboard on my desk as a dedicated fingerprint reader.
I work on my phone more than on my laptop last week. Mostly talking to my agent on telegram. Get shit done.
These are life changing. DOT approved to same safety standard as a car seat.
15 years of 3D printing under my belt and having owned some 25+ printers...the Bambu H2C is my absolute favorite printer by a long shot (with dual AMS 2 Pros + AMS HT).
LUMIX shoots better footage with better software at half the price with no overheating issues
it's wild -- i spent the last 2 decades of my career putting everything in the cloud and now i'm figuring out how to give colleagues remote access to a mac mini sitting in my downstairs home office
People always ask me how I make coffee so I make it with Brazil coffee beans I grind coarse with a Fellow Ode 2
My mother just got me one for Mother’s Day and I love it. Elevates every outfit.
Bought these for our move to NYC, huge improvement over the bulky travel car seats we were dealing with before
I use Mint Mobile. It has worked flawlessly with the Sunbeam Juniper.
i have few homepods in one room of my place in nyc with nothing in the room except a rug & some sound dampening stuff. i just lie there, listen to music, & stare at the ceiling. it's basically a chapel for doing nothing, like a sensory deprivation tank but with only sound. highly recommend.
Flying to HCMC today, and I did not forget to set this up and asked Otto to watch my house for me while I'm away 😂
I own the Lone Peak 9s as well and love them. Great shoe. I need more cushioning in some situations, but they're great for most things.
Sterling Pacific is the greatest suitcase I’ve ever owned.
best and only
I have one, it's really good Slightly bigger capacity than the normal plastic one too It's heavy though, like in a dense, sturdy way. Nice feeling but not for the weight conscious
V60 is nice because you can throw away the filter paper quickly after using and it's clean
ik i’m late to the game but taking waymos in sf is insane and has exceeded expectations. probably the most something has felt like living in the future
explain why i just bought a little clip-on reading light and apparently the fucker is USB-C?? you mean to tell me i'm now responsible for this tiny little charging cable?
this is the only watch you need man
How Diet Coke is the best drink ever
i brought my gold monster 1000 and gold bug 2, but it was steep terrain to swing it and the mineralization here has been making for some difficult tones lol
Every once in a while I run into a product that just feels better than anything else in its category. Almost as if it's in its own adjacent group, next to the category, but outside it. The Norda 003 is one of those products.
When your girl orders an uber courrier to get her favourite notebook 15 minutes before the store closes so she will have ample stationery on her solo paris trip, you just smile and nod
Awair my favorite. Airthings is good too but I prefer the Awair UI.
The <1 day battery life of an Apple Watch is a total no-go for me My Garmin lasts me 3 weeks, even with all the running I do
Also everyone likes custom amount of coffee strength, I want 20g, gf want 10g etc, so it's superior to do it per cup than one big pot of coffee
agree, this is the best i've found
COLOR e-ink 🌈🤯 - Building my dream ‘great artworks’ curriculum using this display
I got a really good flip phone from Sunbeam. It was expensive, but it has Waze, speech-to-text, 5G hotspot, and other features that will make the switch less inconvenient.
I am genuinely really really impressed with the Framework 13 Pro. I was unhappy with the old 13. Awful keyboard, trackpad, and display. New one is way better in all categories. Best PC trackpad I've used, awesome keyboard, no more display wobbling. Feels 10x more premium.
i still buy them but usually this is a bad sign & it happens to every brand. i purchased non stop from buck mason for years now but the t-shirt quality has gone down since they moved factories. scale has a huge impact on everything.
Maintaining a 15" MacBook Air as my primary Mac.
every day I get 1% better at reading “fox in socks” out loud fast dr seuss was an crazy genius, new appreciation for him these days
These Casio remixes from Ura Watches go perfectly with a well-riced Linux distro 🤩
they call me ashe medici when I wear these slippers
My daily driver is a Mac Studio that sits on my desk and I just connect to it with Tailscale. Then if I'm going on a plane or something must be local I pull it down from GitHub and play locally.
Sooo much cheaper than @AnthropicAI options in general, but with my Mac Studio it’s running for the cost of electricity!
Tbh… no. Sorry. We have 2 kids and both seat configs in model x
rotate between injex linen & new dungarees
They make a fantastic product, no question! I typically only buy hiking shoes with Vibram soles.
NUNA TRVL is the superior option and it's not even close. The folding system is elite, and it perfectly fits the Nuna infant car seat's clip-in/out system.
I even still use my AirPods Pro with both Omarchy and Android. They work perfectly fine. Although I hear that Samsung now has a new Buds version that's even better, so will try that next. Still, Apple does make nice hardware.
This is my fav oil cleanser. It explodes on planes, so I don’t travel with it in this container, but I love it so much I deal with it. barely need moisturizer after
They keep breaking, like all of them, cracks in the handles, cracks in the sides, it's just cheap plastic shit but it costs $1000 or more
My redlight I bought from Mito, have both a small desk unit and full body - I'd emphasize the exposure and beneficial effects don't require much, 10 minutes - Overexposure is real. Don't think more is better
GIANT e-ink display LIVE in my house and actively removing the “mental load” of motherhood 😅
currently living out of my car in the desert. this is the dirtiest i’ve been in my life. baby wipes are god’s gift to mankind.
I haven't compared them to the Max 2 yet but check out Sennheiser HDB 630, I prefer them over the Focals.
We use it every Friday. Pizza movie night! 🙌
Just buy Festool ETS and forget everything else. Thank me later.
the ipad pro with magic keyboard is an insane device man.
I still think @Beelinkofficial is king when it comes to mini PCs. Big fan of the SER9 HX370 on the high end and the EQR5 on the lower end.
if you get a dji mic you can whisper at your desk
I was in Costa Rica for 10 days. Chomping at the bit to get back to the Mac Mini that was waiting for me 😂
even before the openclaw hype the Mac mini was an incredible value… I got the base model ($600) and it’s quite powerful for the price point.
7 years of rock solid AirPlay. No hiccups, lag, reboots, anything. I've never even turned one off!
Accurate except we’re on the Embody chair over the Aeron these days
My jetlag hack is Flykitt. It's timed supplements and nap, blue light glasses timing app
I'll put in a good word for KIA. Bought a Carnival last month. I did everything online, including getting a firm trade in in the middle of the night.
Some of you may remember my Moto Meter, a collection of motorcycles I wanted to buy that got "unlocked" as my MRR increased. Today I finally bought one of my "dream bikes", a Triumph Scrambler 900. Thank you HTML!
The newest Kindle Scribe might be the best tech purchase I've ever made. > only has books and notes, no distractions > boring b&w display, can read at night > writing with the pen feels genuinely good > searchable handwritten notes > 12-week battery life - this > iPad
a camcorder. or a camera solely for video - I just digitized my family tapes, and it is one of the most beautiful experiences to watch as a family.
Many ACs suck, we had Daikins and they suck, they go on and off repeatedly after hitting their target temperature, which wakes you up too, you need an AC that has constant cold air flow, we got Mitsubishi Electric which is great
these books are so good!! we got one as a gift when my son was a couple months old and he got obsessed with the queen of the night aria from the magic flute. now we’ve gone down this whole classical music path. spent this morning bopping to the four seasons
Built my dream phonics / reading app using my @openclaw team for my @daylightco e-ink device - Now reading lessons can happen outdoors, total game changer for my kids moods on tough days ⛰️🌷
I got a secondary Roamless eSIM that connects to both TMO or ATT, and every once in a while I use it instead but it's rare.
It's really awesome! My kids love it.
You don't actually need much RAM or CPU — base model (or an old one) is perfectly fine. The main reason is to give it full access to your digital life.
The HRV measure on the Apple Watch might be useless for measuring HRV, but it surely detected this arrhythmia!
I use WhisprFlow for all my prompting, brainstorming, and note-taking. Otter .ai for conversations, calls, and longer sessions. But WhisprFlow with a keyboard shortcut, or, if you want to be SPECTACULARLY nerdy, the Stream Deck Pedal (non-ironically, it's amazing)
Dates have been my easiest source of calories while breastfeeding. I’m buying the jumbo medjool dates from Costco. Best quality I’ve found, even better than Sprouts. I have 6-8 of them every day.
delighted to learn those months of wearing the noise cancelling airpods as earplugs for sleep will not come back to haunt me
agreed that most of the Creami recipes are trash. but you can make them healthy. I use the Ninja Creami to make acai bowl for my daughter, just using fruit and collagen and stuff
Made a custom plugin for @useTRMNL e-ink display with my @openclaw today! - Teaching reading by hanging this e-ink display in my kids bedroom, showing custom content designed to match their phonics curriculum 🤓📖
don't use apple watch or eightsleep for sleep tracking if you want good data you need oura or whoop
Wow, coming up on 10 years of Airpods - Hard to imagine a world without them. Designed so well that I often forget they're on me. So many AI accessories currently in development feel like the inverse; you're acutely aware they're there
I’m on baby #3 after a long break and the only fancy new thing I got was the najell sleepcarrier x which is like a fancy Swedish baby tote bag / moses basket and I cannot recommend enough. as an experienced city mom don’t need much but this was a win.
I find it utterly fascinating how a $119 mechanical keyboard has managed to bring me more joy than, say, cars I've spent 1000x as much on. Life isn't linear.
BEBANG compound microscope cost ~$70 and is fit for purpose where purpose is “Engage the world with sense of wonder.”
I love cashmere so much , it is equal amounts protective and comforting to me energetically. Like a little winter cocoon
Realised that I needed to take a candlelit oxytocin promoting bath to gently ease labour along, but came to the conclusion that most candles are toxic. So I overnight ordered 2lbs of beeswax and some organic cotton wicks. Now I’m soaking in peace.
I been through so many air sensors, and I really think this is the best one so I bought one for living room and then another one for bedroom
I know there's a selection bias here, but having had a super modern tablet-connected espresso machine and a 50yr old one, the latter is so much nicer to use.
Haha I basically only shop ilia because I like them and am lazy, I forget the color if this one ☺️
get the long canada goose, it's like walking around in a warm sleeping bag
low profile microphone arm stand. before I would just hold my microphone while recording videos which was super janky lol. game changer!
Nice. I regularly wear a 105.012 from 66, so we're basically brothers.
Puts your laptop at eye level for Zoom or podcasting. No more looking up dad's nose. Game changer. Also makes space on desk.
Unsolicited plug: I was recommended Cometeer coffee a few years ago and tried it for first time recently. *By far* the best taste to prep work ratio of any coffee ever prepared in our kitchen.
I feel so connected to my notebook and pen, like we are truly One, a real family
Just bought cosrx again after running out a few months ago. It’s really great.
We buy like 5 loafs from the local bakery every few months - Then cut all loaf in slices, I got this bread cutting machine for it on Amazon - Then we freeze those slices

Branwyn tho. I’m addicted to their wool leggings…
the perfect office chair does exist
I got this one and it’s pretty nice. Can stick it under my desk without much fuss. - Be sure to check the weight on whatever you get.
The 1016 is one of the all time greats. I've owned a number of them and currently have one. It's just a perfect watch.
Blast that fly that is bugging you with a small load of table salt. It's as much fun as you'd think.
I print 95% of models myself. Elegoo Saturn 2 printer, either Elegoo water washable resins, Atlas tabletop resin, or Ekimate (tough to get ex-Japan). Learned most know-how on YouTube.
I also have a Ring jacket. Navy double breasted, with gold buttons. One of my favs.
Microsoft just shipped a $30 USB-C controller that has all the inputs needed for VR *and* has a screw attach point. If you attach a magsafe adapter to the screw mount, and stick a phone on it you now have a fully capable inside-out tracked VR wand. It's perfect. 🥹
It's so good I'm going to buy a second Ninja Crispi airfryer so I can cook frozen meat in one and frozen vegetables in the second one - This + my ceramic rice cooker = Rice + meat + veg, all done without almost any work after 15 minutes (and no microplastics!)
best hoodie I’ve ever owned is the OG Yeezy x GAP hoodie. Own 3. Still wearing the one I bought ~4/5 years ago.
It's a 6ft extension with additional outlets in a USB and USBC port. It also adapts to every country and you use the international for airplanes and it stays. Also great for hotels that don't have power on the nightstand
L-theanine twice a day - ashwagandha, l-theanine, magnesium (multiple kinds) at night - caffeine, l-theanine in the morning
I own an 8lseep, take creatine, and run marathons but I’m pretty sure game 7 has taken years off my life
Yes have the bike as well. Everything they make is rock solid.
Lukewarm coffee is for losers.
Wide toe box shoes are S tier - Xero is my favorite brand for shoes to lift in
this was my secondary detector, minelab xterra. the one i usually use is a garrett ace apex!
PSA: take magnesium. Most people are deficient. Your sleep quality will skyrocket. You will feel better overall.
My Eight Sleep is probably my favorite “rich guy purchase” I’ve ever made. Was talking to a Very Smart Person last night who said he’d give up his smartphone before his Eight Sleep and tbh I understand. I bought mine to mock it, now I’m a convert.
I know it sounds a little ridiculous, but I'm 100% serious that these cleared up both of our daughters' eczema. Helped reduce my wife's quite a bit too.
i slept at a comfortable 63.5°F last night b/c i found out 8sleep is just a fish tank cooler connected to a tube so i bought a fish tank cooler and connected it to a premade mattress overlay with tubes
my most on-again off-again relationship is with my oura ring
I was sleeping, it was 2am~ ish, and I was alerted about this issue because my internet mattress (which I love, shoutout to @eightsleep) was warm 😅
The whole thing is just right. I've rarely encountered a product so well considered. They knew where to stop. To me, this is a pinnacle product. The model to build towards.
Recharge like a phone, and when you need a quick cooling off, it's great.
Got a Pixel Fold to start thinking about iPhone Fold. - the software makes or breaks it - when apps just stretch – wide suuucks - effectively all just stretch - entering 2-app mode must be better - this is super unsolved - Without major changes – width is a negative.
Canada link but bought this on in 2021 and still like it.
KEF LSX-II. They're sublime.
Over the past year, I never once plugged anything into the USB-C port on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I think, at least for the non-Pro iPhones, the port can now be deleted.
it is really hard to beat a good phone + airpods pro 3
I've burned out two treadmill desks in the last 2.5yr. Very easy to get in 10k+ during the workday.
invest in a nice iron and start putting it to good use - nothing feels better than a freshly ironed linen button down
I use the 30L one actually and it's terrific for overnight trips. But if truly committed to backpack only for a longer trip, 45L would be the way to go.
The thermos keeps water icy cold and it has an integrated "straw" function without the annoying straw. Way better than you'd expect.
common projects (i do not wear achilles low btw, those are way too cliche but few other pairs that are unique af).
Wearing polyester makes me feel tight and trapped. Wearing cotton or linen makes me feel flexible and free. I can never go back to Lululemon tights. They are suffocating.
For a silent keyboard, the best I've found is the Varmilo Minilo75. Super nice. Upgrading from an MX Keys to that will feel like going from a flying coach to stretching your fingers in first class.
I have a Seiko Ripley, a remake of the watch from Aliens. Love me some Seiko!
Our Miele induction cooktop is meh...but only because of the interface and excessive safety "features". The power and utility are great, but interface is flaky and it shuts itself off if it detects *anything* other than cookware on the surface.
Hmm, I have the smaller domino but I would like the bigger one sometimes. If I had money to waste I’d upgrade to a battery track saw (currently have the wired).
i'm in europe now, so I sleep on a natural latex and horse hair mattress from neonatura.de - seemed to provide the best non-toxic options in my research
In Singapore for the weekend and bought a rose gold vintage Omega. Thanks HTML!
Ear pods and even over-ear headphones can be annoying and cause ear infections. These go near the ear but not in. Great for exerecise or chores.
I've had good luck with my Altras, the lower-cushion one. Don't get a Hoka or anything crazy padded — feels nice for now but destroys your hips and knees long term.
My Baseus extension cord has 3 USB-C, and I can plug Anker 47W to get 2 more.
The Humanscale Liberty chair is the greatest office chair ever made. I've been using it for 15+ years. Probably bought five of them over the years. Total GOAT 😄
Whenever I don't sleep on mine, I notice. Incredible product
I literally rock a pair of these bad boys at my desk and so does @trevormccrt1 Literally the opposite of an airpod
i found these to be one of the best affordable-ish options; $250-300 for both heated water and toilet seat
Put chat GPT on voice mode in your AirPods, rent a lime bike and cruise around London asking about the history of the buildings you see. You will thank me.
I also got a M4 Macbook Air and it is a truly incredible computer.
Been quite happy with my gaming chair. Big enough that I can sit in shrimp mode if needed, and built for 10h+ gaming sessions, so it's very comfy.
Comfortable for resting bare arms on cold desk when using computer.
Used Kindles are only $78. If you want to read more, buy a few and keep them everywhere. Bed, bag, car, bathroom. You'll never be far from a book.
New addition to the collection: 1970 Ford Bronco — fully restored with a coyote V8. Brittany Blue w/ white interior.
One of the stupidest purchases I’ve ever made
But now Alo has come out with new shorts that don't have polyester, and they're also not heavy: they're 47% Modal, 47% Cotton, 6% Elastane
Eight Sleep has really done wonders for my sleep. I haven't used their new Pod 5, but seeing how well they've done with earlier models would give me a lot of confidence in their latest offering. I have no financial ties to the company — just an endorsement from a happy customer.
The blanket! And the tilt for snoring feels like massive unlocks. I now hate sleeping in hotels because it's not my @eightsleep bed
eight sleep has been an absolute game changer, it auto dials in your overall temperatures as you use it with auto pilot. i also love being woken up with a hot alarm + vibration instead of any sounds. i'm gonna upgrade to pod 5 ultra with the blanket too which just launched.
My house is my castle. Love my ring camera. Also have 4 dropcams covering the full perimeter, and 2 other inside the garage.
doona car seat + convertible stroller is GREAT. we can waymo / uber around w/ baby w/ it v easily
My cat uses the anti-cat keyboard protector as a home.
Magnesium: recently switched to Thorne powder version and love it
Ran with the CGM and that was super helpful to rule out fueling, since my glucose wasn’t dropping.
I wasn't sure if it would stick, or be a fun toy I abandoned. But I use it every single day now. It's my go-to writing device.
0.2mg melatonin 45min before sleep then dim the lights (melatonin is ALWAYS sold in too high dose like 3mg, it should be 10x less or it doesn't work!)
if you’re a dude, every problem in your life can be solved by just getting moderately jacked and wearing linen pants - trust me
wetsuit, it works really well, except for the face and hands it's freezing 😂 still enjoyable, 8/10
i usually try at least 30-45 min of pure off line reading, which means i print out articles from my readwise reader. or i'll read old fashioned books. i sometimes will use my kindle oasis without backlight.
PSA: Batteries have gotten so good that you can now get a rechargeable card that works with FindMy & is just slightly thicker than a credit card - I am never going to lose my passport or wallet again! (I hope this is not famous last words...)
I use the pa’lante ultralight pack - wrap my clothes for the day around my laptop. have shower, towel, other supplies at work. the pack is incredible it’s lasted for 3 years of run commuting
Unsolicited plug: if you enjoy iced drinks, particularly tea/coffee at home (though I suppose it works for alcohol as well), Keurig Hyperchiller at $20 is my favorite QOL improvement in a while. It’s “just” a plastic jug with two metal cups.
My daily is my model Y. FSD all the way. 50k miles so far. I've driven maybe 1k miles in the Rivian, kind of regret getting it.
LMNT is the best!
I've been wearing an oura ring for about a year and it's been very reliable in detecting sickness from a combination of HRV, RHR, and body temp, but the alert always comes around the time I start feeling some early symptom (usually some fatigue).
Neat! I got the Amaran lights here too, and I recommend getting a Light Dome that fits them, it's great for diffusion :)
We probably get a biweekly EltaMD shipment which is imo best face sunscreen.
mouth taping while sleeping has made a huge difference for me. better sleep, deeper rest, no dry mouth, definitive less waking up. it sounds weird until you try it then it's obvious. highly recommend.
String lights are an unreasonably effective & cheap way to make an outdoor space cozier
Daylight Computer. The Kindle Amazon never made. If it were maybe 30% smaller/lighter it would be perfect. It is *unreal* how much it feels like reading paper, even though the paper now e.g. scrolls Twitter or plays videos.
Sock Update: I tried out both darn tough + bombas socks! both are among the best socks I've worn; DTs preferred for long walks or hiking and bombas for casual around-the-house wear, especially in hot weather
Miele Crystal has been fantastic. We put it through 3x the avg weekly family usage rate (plus dense loading) & no problems in 5+ years. Everything comes out very clean every time.
I'm team yellow but if there's a Festool version I usually have that one. Except for drills and drivers. I still use Dewalt for those.
Holy fuck that Sonos setup was miserable. Had to redo Beam. Ended up with Living Room 1, Loving Room 2, Living Room 3. Why did I download TrueTone for each speaker? Stereo mode doesn’t keep volume in sync. Screw it, it’s mostly working.
This is our family toothpaste, everyone uses it, myself, wife, kids
Finally got the autism starter pack.
bought two midnights for my two kids... but now I am worried they won't let me borrow it once in a while
Didn't have one. Sold my car. Moved back home. Bought GPUs. Made a home cluster.
This is probably me and Jaimie’s favorite thing we own
The Framework 13 is sublime and under $1500. For 64GB + 1TB! My favorite laptop for a very long time.
Absolutely nothing teflon/ "non-stick" - I use All-Clad stainless steel pans. They have a learning curve, as food will stick to it like crazy if not pre-heated
I usually don't care for scented candles, but this one is great
But i love bloom under mounts. Used them on my solid wood desk.
Absolutely love our Odyssey. When we dug into it a minivan was the clear winner if you have to deal with three car seats.
Unpopular opinion: The 16" MacBook Pro is the only screen you need
in my experience the best cubes are the 2.5in and 3in (11lbs and 19lbs) since you can still pick them up with one hand, the 4in is uncomfortably large and awkwardly heavy at 45lbs
Acquired the best Starbucks mug of all time and the pinnacle of my tech company coffee cup collection. This was only available at the TSMC Starbucks and features the Starbucks logo as a chip on a silicon wafer. Hard to photograph though!
Espresso + sparkling water + chocolate @drinkLMNT = superior diet coke
i got mine refurbished for $250 and it raises my attractiveness by .5-1 point. worth it.
For once in my life I feel pretty solid about my watch collection. Not a lot of holes in the lineup
I use Boox devices instead. run android, so much more options in terms of apps. think all the devices are cool though, if you like kindle etc
New office: - Starlink + laptop + car = anywhere
My house is running on 2 ecoflows. Lights, internet, furnace, hot water, coffee… just the "basic needs".
there are few things i love more in this world than cargo pants - cargo pants are just so goated - us men, we got all kinds of stuff to carry around. wallet. keys. knife. corkscrew. protein powder. a small rodent or two. every man needs — every man DESERVES — 6+ pockets!
I'm finding myself switching back to using Bose QC35 II over AirPods Pro when working - all day battery - I get more "in the zone" than w/ AirPods - my AirPods keep messing up with Bluetooth and giving bad audio quality on calls AirPods are still great for on-the-go
i spent an offensive amount of time researching this and ultimately it's the best there is. i bought 3 of them.
it took me a bit because sometimes they’d fall out my ears when running or working out but now i use them a bunch; great for calls, easy switching between phone & laptop, good sound quality, pretty good noise cancelling, easy to just have one in if you need it. solid product imo
I'm gonna be wearing Carhartt in 2050
Great news: You can buy food containers that not only have matching lids & bases, but are also COLLAPSIBLE! My kitchen drawers have never been so well organized. I'm never going back - Better yet – silicone does not shed microplastics, nor does it shatter like glass!
The TP-7 is an absolutely charming piece of hardware. Reminds me of all the things I loved about some of those high precision portable Sony products from decades ago. But miles better. It's such a tactile delight.
i've been wearing the Ultrahuman ring and Oura Ring (v3) the past week to compare. Oura wins hands down. excited to try v4.
I purchased a Temu mini external monitor to display company and product metrics at all times on my desk. AMA
This was my solution. I get 5 ppm TDS at the kitchen sink now. Almost pure water. Had it for 2.5 years.
this is how i've always carried my macbook around but today someone stopped me on the street and called me "crazy" and said "you're gonna break your computer you idiot" guys, can someone please reassure me that i'm using the carrying cord right, i know i am
For me, the control of having an indoor treadmill makes all the difference. I can step off and have a drink. I can look weird and run badly without judgment. I can pace myself as much as I want.
Did an amazing game drive, I wish I had a real camera with me but the iPhone Pro 16 delivered some incredible shots.
I wear them as my primary headphones. I got transitions so they are sunglasses too.
I’d have to check the model but ASICS that I got fitted with at @ARunnersMind! They check your gait, foot build, etc and then you test out multiple pairs until one feels good
Attempted some hardware hacking this weekend. Bought a bunch of tools and installed new handguards and a new front faring on the Kawasaki. Very pleased with the result!
Sony FX30 w/ 14mm lens. Great camera for podcasts! No drivers needed, just USB C connection to Linux, and it's good.
The thickest carpet/rug you can possibly tolerate. Then get "rollerblade" wheels for your office chair.
Recently switched from an 14" M1 Max MacBook Pro to a 13" M3 MacBook Air and I think it was a good move. Battery life is insane and it's so incredibly thin/light. Never heard the fans for my workload on M1 so not concerned about them not on M3. Downsides: no HDMI, speakers not great. Also, fingerprints are a real problem with the Midnight Blue color
My general rule of thumb is "as low-fi as possible". This is why I'll often rough sketch an idea on paper with a Sharpie, take a picture, and send it to someone rather than get out the iPad, launch a drawing app, grab the tools, (over)do the thing, export, share, etc.
This is the best t-shirt money can buy: The Real McCoy’s Athletic T-Shirt
i did a full flip upside down and smashed my body into a boulder!! good thing i was wearing a helmet or else i might be a veggie 🙏🏼 skills issue tbh
My T-shirts already 100% cotton from Son of A Tailor
replaced all of my underwear with theirs a few months ago and never looked back
I love my Apple Watch but the fact that we're on Series 10 (‼️) and it still doesn't last for a day is a little bonkers to me
This Akko MU01 keyboard is made with a real wooden case. What a funky look and feel!
got the office set to 65℉ just so i can wear a hoodie.
but surprisingly best i tried were: "Hanes Ultimate Men's ComfortSoft Boxer Briefs, 5-Pack" although they sell them in multipacks and some of them contain plastic, others 100% cotton. it's dumb
Every single light source in my apartment at that time was controlled by Hue. It was awful.
I use the Redken Acid Bonding shampoo and conditioner (or whatever it’s called. The white one). And the Kerastase hair Elixir oil! 🫶✨
i’ve never tried resbull but these go pretty hard. i usually just drink black coffee but celsius taste good and have lots of caffeine lol
The Kindle is a substitute for paper, via eInk. It's the best available way to buy books, a somewhat mediocre reading experience which acts like an inferior substitute for paper, and an absolutely gobsmackingly frustrating software/hardware artifact to use. I love mine to death.
The lit keyboard is SO nice - I like using mine to watch stuff before bed, and it was so difficult trying to type on the old iPad keyboard
The Monolith grinder from Kafatek is so well-built that only an enthusiast could be behind it.
There's something hilarious about the fact that my Brother HL2340D printer has never worked as well under any operating system as it does on Linux. No drivers needed, instantly detected, prints every time. World is turning upside down!
this weekend I got an orange juicer and I have to share that fresh daily OJ is pure luxury
I bought Pod 2 and Pod 3. but switched to Chillipad for its physical buttons and airplane mode, to not require wifi in the room.
CURA weighted blanket, this makes you feel like you fall into a different dimension when sleeping, very good, not just for autists (I am not autist I did the test), just try it
I got the bread oven. Now I need my sourdough starter to hurry tf up… 🥹
I got the Rodecaster v1 and it's amazing. I hear even better things about the v2 and the recently released smaller version. Onboard amp, EQ, Noise Gate, high pass and the Aphex stuff is really good. And recording a backup stream directly to SD is chefs kiss.
This is also my favorite. I like the Aer Fit 3
Apple Vision Pro in an economy seat is life-changing. Movie experience is a total escape, and here the Mac screen-sharing makes a massive difference. Anyone flying long-haul regularly: it's worth it. Absolutely worth it.
1st impressions after using for a day: - I love the device itself. Color is bright. Feel & size is good in hand. I like the smoothness, and the wheel. Satisfying clicks and whirs.
I discovered that the CO2 levels where I slept were at 2,300 ppm, whereas the level in fresh air is around 420 ppm. 👩❤️👨 Also, two people in a room = 2x of CO2 💨 So, I started sleeping with the window open, which reduced the CO2 level to 500 ppm. ☺️ Now, I sleep for 8 hours straight and wake up feeling refreshed and energized.
These KEF speakers remain one of my favorite upgrades to the workstation. Wish I would have known earlier just how incredible small desk speakers like this could sound. And how easy they'd work with a USB-C connection. Can't recommend them enough!
I wake up much more easily in rooms with east-facing windows, but sadly my bedroom doesn't face east - So I experimented with sunrise alarms to simulate direct sunlight... and it helped a lot!
These containers in my picture are glass and I find the easiest to close of ones I've tried. brand is GlassLock
got a way wider bed: from 150cm / 5" to 180cm / 6" (biggest I could find at IKEA, I'd go 200cm / 6'8" wide if possible), Europe has absolutely tiny beds, they simply don't even fit 2 slim people, maybe that's why peole are so grumpy here
A tungsten tetrahedron. Tungsten is one the densest metals, and has the highest melting point. - It feels eerily heavy to hold relative to its size 😲
I talk into an Elgato Prompter and am surrounded by 3 @AputureLighting lights: an Amaran 100, some other, (forgot, lol) and an Infinibar PB6.
I’ve been obsessed with the Zara white low neck tee (own maybe 12).
This is the one piece of equipment you will need to buy, though: it lets you bridge the airplane Wi-Fi to multiple devices (i.e. your Vision Pro and your Mac).
I bought one, and I really want to like it, Vision OS is so cool. But im finding I am not using it much - Competes with phone & tv for screentime, and really can only do entertainment
I got one 6mo ago. Was very disappointed. I thought it was gonna have crypto integration into the OS. Dunno what specifically, but I kept hearing about how hardcore/low-level sol devs were, so... But it's just a mediocre phone with a seed vault and vanilla Android.
I've had this desk for 7 years now. Not only has it held up insanely well, fingerprints just aren't a problem. It's the Goggle Desk by Babini.
Just used iOS's Share Audio feature for the first time and hooolyyy cow the act of pairing two sets of AirPods to the same device via Bluetooth is the most intimate thing I've ever experienced
I like Berkey just fine, though the filters are expensive. In future I'm looking into reverse osmosis systems.
I got Snocks from Amazon - All exact same - Went thru diff sizes too - 3 sizes bigger is my fav
One of my favorite things to do with our Frame TV is creating a bunch of holiday/seasonal AI art.
There, it joins the audio from a @shure SM7B that goes into a @rodemics Rodecaster Pro.
I had never used a sauna ever (of any kind) until almost 2 years ago when my wife wanted this for her birthday - I got it for her, and it wasnt until 6 months later that I finally used the thing
I still wouldn't want to use this monitor as my primary, but it is more than sufficient as a secondary.
I actually went with the Peak Design based on my research but am going to return it. It’s definitely a solid backpack but almost too organized for me? And I ended up getting a work one sent to me that I love (the back one at the end) in the meantime
I have a fully equipped workstation at home but my most successful products are built with this setup:
airpod max! i got them last year around holiday time, i think they were having a ~20% off sale on amazon for them, so i'd keep an eye out around this time of year for that if you're in the market for a pair! i use them every day, couldn't recommend them more highly honestly
Better than whey since it's basically dehydrated ground meat vs an isolate. Still tastes great though. I have Equip stuff multiple times a day.
I've tried them all. and the @ohsnapgrip is the best thing out there. super slim, but pops out and gives you a grip, with a stand! magsafe compatible for iphone & turns android phones into magsafe as well :)
I even bought something recently from a Twitter ad. It was stainless steel drinking straws from a German company. Very high quality product. I can't remember any other time I bought something from an internet ad.
I sat down at my electronic drum kit yesterday and this spontaneously came out of me. This is the replay. I call this composition Pacing and Leading.
For video, I run a @Sony A7C with a Sigma 24mm lens into a @AtomosGlobal Ninja V and then via @elgato Camlink into a Mac Mini.
LG 49” ultra wide. If I bought a new one today I would buy the OLED 49” G9 monitor from Samsung
The other monitors are LG 24" UltraFine's 4Ks; they replaced the 21" UltraFine which I preferred but my old ones wore out and this is what they sell now.
i think aeron is overhyped, not that comfortable, not amazing for posture - i don't have any standard office chair that i can recommend - the closest best setup i've found is: altwork.com
Travel tip: Get a suitcase with an atypical color. It's easier to identify it among other bags - Mine is maroon, for example. Distinctive, but dark enough to not show dirt. Dark green is a good choice too. Navy is a little too common
Vuori and Unbound, in the dozens I've tried. For working out I usually go Lulu or Alo.
Where I ended up is macbook pros for them after they turn 3 from the 2017-era. Crazy? You can get these for $200 on eBay b/c the screens have a cosmetic defect. As far as kids devices, these are *insanely* better than dogshit tablets. Top tier.
Welcome home! Bannerbike number 2. This is a customized Honda CRF Rally given a vintage Dakar makeover.
Sawstop deserves all the successes. I can’t understand how other makers sell any table saws anymore.
How to save $300 on a pro studio microphone with a pop filter 1. Get Apple EarPods (wired) 2. Get a sponge 3. Make a hole in the sponge 4. Put a microphone inside the sponge
The fun part: the DJI mic pictured here allows for an actual lapel mic with a cable to be plugged in and still have the whole thing be wireless. Get an under-shirt small mic and plug it in. Magic.
Found a 1959 Milo Baughman stereo console in Ohio. Shipped it to NYC and restored it.
Acoustical upgrade to the home office, so those podcast recordings don't bounce straight off the concrete. Turned out really well!
I was skeptical initially, but these are amazing and the only shoes i wear out the house: I get extra wide size, to not have a cramped toe box
This charger won the battle. Dual 45W USB-C-PD with nerdy live wattage. Charges 50% in 30 min. Super happy after 3 weeks usage.
The biggest fraud in travel is the Briggs & Riley Essential carry-on, and I question the sanity of everyone who recommends it. It’s a great bag THAT TIPS OVER CONSTANTLY. It doesn’t matter what other fancy features it has: this alone makes it unusable.
On that note, the other thing I am experimenting with is the TV. I'm not a fan of consoles, but *dual mice* on a TV with a Windows machine and a custom "turn taking" script I wrote is an interesting alternative. I can participate or just watch, and they get to work together.
Started using earplugs in the last few days and it completely upgraded my sleep quality! 💤 Wish I have done this sooner!
I've been liking truesalt . But always looking to try something new for my steaks
We have a projector in our basement, the Apple TV is hooked up directly to that via HDMI and to a sound bar via audio cables. We have no TVs in the house, so that's the “entertainment base station” for all our Netflix/Disney+/whatever needs.
1959 HH Scott Amplifier for my new stereo console
MacBook Pro's MagSafe cable light is way too bright at night. It's such a basic thing for Apple's design team to overlook. They have the ambient light sensors, they have the technology to make it dim… It's strangely annoying.
angels need multiple linen skirts
Best cars I've ever owned, not even close
While other folks are playing with AI, I just developed my first roll of 35mm film in maybe 20+ years? Bought a 1971 Minolta Rangefinder in a BKK camera shop
Honorable mention is Game Builder Garage on Switch, but I took the Switch away for now since it ends up getting plugged into mobile mode and then being too isolated - again, those big screens help me keep an eye on things!
I just got this leg press machine and already I’ve had several hours of the best exercise of my life. And that was just assembling it. I also plan to do some leg presses when I recover. 💪
I've never enjoyed sketching on the iPad because I don't like the slick glass feel. I much prefer the subtle resistance and drag you get with paper and marker. Paperlike is a wonderful screen protector that mimics paper. And it really works well.
Brooks adrenaline / ASICS gt series. No particular reason, I got injured on a Pegasus once and now I’m superstitious about them
Did some upgrading in the studio. The ceiling rail mounting system is now in place, holding most of my lights. I'll be adding a few more things (mics and cameras) to this over time. So much more space to walk with the clunky light stands out of the way.
i also for an EMF shield faraday cage for my bed from FaradayLabz - someone told me nothing boosted their Oura scores more than the FaradayLabz shield
Embody is my favorite normal chair, check out the knee chairs from Varier as well, I like to switch between them. Great for posture and inexpensive.
my new notebook is covered in papayas and i am ecstatic about it
Best backpack I ever owned by far
Copeland Contour - my favourite piece of furniture that I own
So my kids get laptops. I tried a bunch of weird things at first, like old Toughbooks, and various cheapo windows Atom PCs, etc. Toughbooks aren't so tough, toddlers destroy them. And slow computers suck no matter what your age.
whoa, this is trippy after so many years of using a curved wide screen, my eyes' muscle memory now sees this monitor with some weird "fish eye effect"
I used Hoka Speedgoats for this every time I did it & they worked great. you do need a bit of traction / stability for rocky bits.
With the ZV-1, I had an always-on HDMI-based setup. No need to do the USB data thing. My USB only charged the camera, which I never turned off and thus didn't have to change zoom settings. Grabbed a capture card and a microHDMI cable and BOOM. HD video, never needed to touch the camera, could even mount a prompter and use an iPad beneath it.
ok. expensive. but i've tried about 10 different pillows (not pillow cube though) and this great for neck pain
I think I'm going to give up on my beloved Garmin 955 and go full Apple with the Ultra Watch. There's just too much integration with Apple Pay, Home Key, and all my fitness stuff (Peloton, Tonal) pairs with the Apple watch but not Garmin.
has a really elegant thing with magnets and metal posters. Geeky designs available in many flavors.
biting the bullet and dual wielding airpods pro was a nice little level up in my permanent access to music/podcast without battery anxiety🤗
btw bought this mouse after you recommended. game changer. 🙏
Bose QC45. Physical buttons, USB-C, fold-up well. All features that are more important for travel than audiophile sound quality.
The Away aluminum carry-on and larger checked luggage have served me well for 3+ years.
Whoops, bought another vintage Vespa. Green 1975. Yellow 1980.
I realized I lost my @WHOOP battery too late and just broke my data streak of 1252 days 😭 this probably shouldn’t bother me as much as it does lol
I wanted something with a rollaway hood and that is actually waterproof, with a simple design. Many jackets leak as soon as there's a little rain. This is GORE-TEX. I ran it under a hose and it was 100% waterproof.
My Christmas wish is for my @onepeloton , @tonal , and @FitbodApp to talk to each other and integrate so each app knows what I've done in the other.
wearing noise-canceling headphones at all times while traveling is the single biggest upgrade I've made to my experience of flying - it's amazing how much travel fatigue is just overstimulation from constant background noise
recently experimenting with hair clippers - having a fresh cut 52 weeks a year instead of 2-3x a year is actually pretty fun
Eight sleep vs others is night and day
Here she is: my new 2022 Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD in Verde Citrea. This thing is wild fun!
In case anyone is interested that's a Suunto Zoop dive computer and a Mido Ocean Star dive watch, one of my growing collection of dive watches (a little hobby of mine)
i use: 1. @COROSGlobal watch for tracking runs in realtime (accurate GPS w/o your phone)
amazing build quality and functionality. AWAY suitcases are trash compared to these guys
And of course @lululemon Tech Canvas pants, and @atoms shoes. #comfortable
This new Opal C1 web cam (bottom) has better quality than my DSLR which cost 5x more and has been super unreliable since.
MagSafe is awesome. Have it everywhere, including in the car and a stand on my desk (I did get a USB-C extension cord for the bedroom). Haven’t plugged in my phone in ages.
My "either everyone is crazy or I am" cultural phenomenon that I don't get is the Apple Watch. Why pay $300 for a new source of daily battery anxiety, incomprehensible complications, and 30 apps you never use? Been giving it a shot from series 1 to 6 but it's still subpar.
Best entry level setup that I started with is a Playseat Challenge + Logitech G29 wheel/pedals
I have a purple pillow and it's great!
- Hoka Speedgoat 4 for trails - Brooks Adrenaline for basic road training - Nike Vaporfly for road races - Hoka Carbon X for speedwork I never put more than 250 miles on shoes. Worth it to avoid injury. Ideally you have 2 pairs at once to give foam a day to rebound btwn runs
Highly recommend this iPad stand: Turns your iPad into a Facebook Portal with FaceTime. Also should work really well with the new iPad Pro wide-angle lens and Center Stage.
this is probably my favourite product of theirs. super versatile. but actually it fits super well with their carry-on bag, as you can see pictured
iPad Pro remains the best single technology product for sale. It is impressive in every respect: it's beautiful, absurdly fast, and incredibly well made. There hasn't been a device so vastly better than everything else in the world since iPod, or maybe the original iPhone.
Ended up loving that retro Casio A168 so much that I tracked down an original ancestor from 1983. This is the W-34. It's got a metal case instead of plastic, even better bracelet, and virtually the same module! Less than $200 in near mint condition. Vintage LCD is 😍
There are a lot of tech products that are very cool. I think Tonal is the first one in a while that I can confidently say has changed my life forever. (Not an investor.)
This desk treadmill has been a fantastic way to stay active on rainy days: I've been pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to type, too! Better yet, I've found I actually focus *better* when I'm on the treadmill, which is really not what I was expecting
It's like "Core Web Vitals" but for sleep / readiness / fitness. I already used the insights to optimize my "first input delay" (no joke)
The Chuck Taylor Slip is a fav of mine. Something about the elastic strapped tongue - just enough downward pressure, not too much, nothing I do in those shoes requires anything tighter, but looser would be worse. Elastic is a magic material.
Glad to see AOC has made a 'Tax the Rich' shirt so that I can finally wash the 'I Am Kind and Grateful' $190 Annie Bing shirt that I have been wearing daily
I've tried most of the "cold bed" solutions and this is the only bed I've slept in where I don't regularly wakeup in a pool of sweat (yuck) - It gets COLD, is super comfy, and I miss it dearly when I'm away from home.
Recently bought a Portal+ and 2 Portals for my parents and in-laws. Best video call UX I've had outside of an expensive board room setup. Big screen + hands-free + wide-angle + motion tracking + microphone makes it easy to have a conversation across the kitchen while cooking.
i have their portable unit that can convert your shower to a sauna - plugs into a regular power outlet
Apple Watch is the most inspiring thing in the tech industry right now — it's actually having a very tangible impact on improving the health of humanity.
Totally smitten with this Casio A168WA-1. What a gorgeous watch, all the complications you'd ever want, 7+ year battery life, and NO NOTIFICATIONS or other junk. Super light too. And it costs less than $20 😍
Toss up between eight sleep pod pro and some no-tie stretch shoelaces (never tying my shoes again)
look into motorcycle ear plugs. they are designed to be small (worn inside a helmet). and they block an engine-worth of noise. the ones I ride with, I also sleep with from time to time if it's noisy outside.
They are here: Hanes Men's Comfortsoft T-Shirt (Pack Of 4),Black,Large
When you spill beer on your favorite keyboard and realize new ones are increasingly hard to come by...
Chair is Aeron I bought on craigslist for $300 in 2009 from some startup that went under.
Took delivery of a Model 3 today. My 1st new car, and 1st time ever driving a Tesla. Car is amazing. The kids love it too
We use this all the time and a bunch of people who've visited our house have replaced theirs after seeing it. Has a big capacity and very easy to use. Have cooked a large pork in it before rotisserie style
I got my first pair of Nike React shoes. Very ergonomic and easy to reason about. A+
After a month with both devices: iPhone X: nearly flawless. Cannot think of a single thing worth complaining about. Pixel 2 XL: So unbelievably shitty in literally every way that I can't believe Google shipped it. The power adapter it ships with is nice, though.
I have a lot of kitchen basics that make me happy. Chef's knife, over-sized cutting board, shallow stainless mixing bowl…
I travel with my own full face helmet now. The helmets you get at rental places in SEAsia tend to be open face and very flimsy...
i like it when guys text me being like 'do your need to borrow a mask because of sf air quality'. dude I got an earthquake prep bag and a nuclear prep bag in my closet... but your paper masks are kinda cute I guess....
Had heard it recommended. Then tried out a bunch, agree this is the best. At the hospital the nurses commented is the softest diaper they ever saw. Super absorbant, no plastic ingredients etc
Apple definitely put their doesn't-screw-shit-up team on AirPods. Fairly close to perfection.
I also wore my Apple Watch and Oura ring, both in airplane mode. My best meditations always had the least variation in heart rate. When I wasn't focused, it would jump around a lot.
Ingredients are all a 1 for safety on CosDNA, doesn't have any plastics or shit, gentle exfoliation, smells good
I wear @EarthRunner1987 sandals. Only footwear I found that encourages the right foot mechanics (strike on ball of foot)
unscented, super clean ingredients.
Every time I buy a Moleskine, I get a rush of excitement. It's 100 blank slates beautifully bound. What designs will I fill it with?
very durable - incorporates silver, copper and zinc, so are anti-microbial - I've tried some other hyped socks before, like @stance - they had nicer patterns, but were trash, wore out/got holes in <2 weeks.
has a unique ingredient, Hydroxyapatite, which seems well studied and helps restore teeth enamel. I personally use the kids toothpaste, as it tastes like cake batter.
A tiny amount (less than a pea) is needed to cover your entire face, it cleans well and I believe the ingredients were all 'clean' when I ran them through CosDNA
the 65w Eggtronic Sirius is the best USB-C laptop charger imho - It sits flat against the wall. No more heavy charger falling out of outlets on airplanes - Is foldable, smaller then a credit card and just 0.77" thick
